Starting Point: Taverly, Speak to Sanfew
Description: Sanfew requires a rare herb for the next part of the purifying ritual. Travel back to the Troll Stronghold to find this herb that the trolls use as an ingredient for their favourite dish.
Requirements:Must have completed Troll Stronghold and Druidic Ritual quests; Level 31 Herblore required.
Difficulty:Medium
Items Needed:Climbing Boots, 10 Grain, 5 Raw Chickens, Pineapple Chunks, Vodka , 2 Logs, a Water Filled Vial, Ranarr Weed, and a Pestle and Mortar. Tinderbox, a Falador and Ardougne Teleport are all optional but highly recommended.
Reward:11k Herblore Experience, ability to Teleport to Trollheim (Lvl 61 to use and requires 2 Law and 2 Fire Runes) and 1 Quest Point
After speaking to Sanfew you will receive instructions to go up to talk to Mad Edgar to get help to find the Goutweed. Now if you remember how you got into troll stronghold in that quest go there. but, when you get to the division that will lead you into the plaza don't go. Head up the mountain until you reach the top.
Now go into the cave and talk to Edgar and he will tell you to talk to the ogre cook Burntmeat. Go into the stronghold and go to the kitchens (get inside and head the opposite direction of the stairs)
Talk to Burntmeat and he will tell you that he will tell you in exchange for human meet. Go back to Edgar.
He will tell you to get a parrot. Go to the Ardougne zoo and then use your knife on your pineapple (dice it). Now talk to Parrot Pete and he will tell you not to give the parrots alcohol (hmmm.... wonder what to do next?)
Now use your vodka on the pineapple chunks that you have, then use them on the food tray in the cage to get a drunk parrot. Now return to Edgar.
Edgar will tell you that he will make a scarecrow that will make tools believe that it is a human. For this he will need 10 grain 1 log and 5 raw chickens for flavour (because everything tastes like chicken) and some dirty robes.
Now go down to Taverly and talk to the druid washing robes and ask him for some. He will refuse, say that Sanfew would be ashamed and threaten to cut down some trees. You will get dirty robes. Now return to Edgar.
You will now have to teach the parrot how to talk like a human. Go into the stronghold and take him to the prison (troll stronghold) and put him under the torture racks)
Return to Edgar
Now you will have to make a special truth potion. Step outside Eadgers cave and pick a troll thistle. Light a fire, use the thistle on the fire, then the pestle and mortar on the thistle to get a powder. Now use the Ranarr weed on the vial of water then the thistle powder on the mix.
Now return to get the parrot and use it on the scarecrow to get a fake human. Take this to Burntmeat. He will thank you, give you the first thing he ever cooked (Just guess what it is... that's right Burnt Meat) and tell you about the fake bottom in the kitchen drawers so search the drawers for a key.
Now go downstairs and use the key on the door to get into a cellar. Get to the other side without getting caught to get a Goutweed. Now return to Sanfew and...
