Ghosts Ahoy
Starting Point: Port Phasmatys - East of Canifis, talk to Velorina
Description: The citizens of Port Phasmatys have unwittingly consigned themselves to an immortal existence, trapped forever in this world as unwilling ghosts. Necrovanus, Lord of the Temple of Phasmatys, holds the key to the door into the next world. Can you convince him to open it and set them free?
Requirements: Must have completed Restless Ghost Quest, must have completed Priest in Peril Quest. Level 25 Agility, Level 20 Cooking and the ability to defeat a lvl 32 giant lobster, and stand your ground against some vampires, and tortured souls(lvl 59-72).
Difficulty: Medium-easy, combat should be 35+
Items Needed: Buckets(7) and pots(7)(the more the better), silk, 2 of each dye(red blue and yellow, ask the witch in Draynor about it), spade, needle, thread, knife, amulet of Ghostspeak, gloves(any kind), oak longbow, and bowl of water, bucket of milk, empty tea cup, and if you like 7 bones. Weapon and armour to kill a lvl 32 giant lobster(wow that's a big deal ;))
Reward: 2400 prayer exp, Free entrance to the port, and teleportation to the port via a vial.
Ok, start walking east of Canifis, take the route into the Fenkenstrain place(don't go in) and keep on going east. You will pass some cows and chickens. Kill some chickens to get their bones,(around 7), keep your 7 pots and buckets with you, if you don't have 7 it's ok, but it will take longer to do the next part. Ok, go further east, and you will see a tower. Go inside, then go down the trapdoor inside. Go to the opposite side of the room you're in, and go down the stairs. Do this a couple times until you are face-to-face with a big pile of slime. Use your bucket on the slime, until you have 7 buckets. Get back to the top, then go up the ladder. Use the bones you have on the machine(don't bury!), wind it, then empty it. Do this 7 times to get 7 bonemeals. Go back down the stairs, worship the ectofuctus 7 times, then talk with a disciple, if you are wearing your Ghostspeak amulet, he will give you 35 tickets. If you don't have 7 buckets, you just have to make more trips to the chickens and more trips to the slime.
Once you have got 35 ecto-tokens, go inside the city, which is just south. You will have to pay 2 ecto-tokens. Talk to Velorina, who is just nearby(quest start point). She will tell you a long story, then once you accept to help her, she will ask you to talk to Necrovanus. If you ever need a bank, there is a bank just nearby, it is in the southern most part of this town area.
Talk to Necrovanus, and he will tell you that he will not free anyone. Go back to Velorina(pay 2 ecto-tokens) and tell her. Ask her about the alternate way that you could of used.
Walk all the way back to the Canifis area, and just east of the slayer master, you will find some nettle plants. Pick one with your gloves on, then go to the Canifis bank, and get your bowl of water and you're bucket of milk. Use the nettle plant with the bowl of water, to get nettle water, then use it with a range to get nettle tea. Use it with an empty cup of tea, and you will get nettle tea(DON'T DRINK IT!)
Now, go to the new slayer dungeon, right to the entrance, but instead of going in, go just east then go north. You should find a little house. Once there tell the Old Crone about Velorina, and she will ask for nettle tea(quite convenient as we just made it ;)) But she will say that she wants it in her own cup. Use your cup of nettle tea with the cup she will give you, then use the bucket of milk on the new cup of tea that you get. Give it to her, and she will explain that to convince Necrovanus, you will have to charge you Ghostspeak amulet so that you can control some ghosts. To do this, she will tell you to get her a book, a translation manual, and Necrovanus's robes.
Now, tell her that she has done so much for us, and that you want to do something for her. She will give you a boat. Click "Repair boat" while you have the thread and needle in you inventory, and the boat will be fixed. Go to the Canifis bank, get out all your dyes, and what you need to kill the lobster, and a few ecto-tokens(maybe like 5). Keep everything that you have in your inventory, unless it hasn't been mentioned in this guide.
Now, head back to the chicken pen, and then head a bit south to find a boat. Go up the ladder and talk to the old man. Try to give him the boat, but he will say that his model had different colours on it. Go out the door, and up the ladder to the side. Notice the words that came up at the top right-hand corner: windspeed: High/low. When the windspeed becomes low, quickly search the mast. It will tell you the colors of the model boat. Paint the boat, using the dyes you have.
- To make Orange, use the yellow and red dyes together.
- To make Purple, use the blue and the red dyes together.
- To make Green, use the blue with the yellow.
NOTE: To find out the color of the ship, you might have to click the mast more than once during low wind speeds.
Go back to the old man once you have painted the boat. Give him the boat, and in return he will give you a key. Use the key with the chest near him, and you will get a map piece. Head out of that room, go across a plank, and you will be on some rocks. Jump to the next rocks, until you get to a chest. Search it to find a map piece.
Go to the bottom of ship again, and get ready to fight the lobster. Search the chests on the east side(I think) and you will have to fight a lobster. Kill it, then go and search the chest again, to find another map piece.
Use all the map pieces together, to get a treasure map. Go to the town again(The port)(pay 2 ecto tokens) and find a rowboat on the dock. Pay the guy 25 ecto tokens.DON'T FORGET TO BRING ALONG A SPADE, and MAP, AT THIS POINT!You will be on an Island. Go to the statue of Saradomin(where it is pointing.) and follow the directions on your map. If it says something like 22 south or something like that, click follow map, then click 10, then click 10 again, then click 2(south of course :)). Once there, dig to find the book.
Get of the Island and get you oak longbow. Get a bit of money out of you bank(around 500 gp) and talk to a samurai, she patrols the dock(not sure if it's a she or a he :O). Talk to her, ask for a translation manual. She will ask for a signature of Robin's on an oak longbow. Get your longbow, then go to the in(it is the bar). Talk to robin, and keep on playing him rune draw(keep on drawing runes until you get a death rune. Whoever get's the most points, or doesn't get a death rune, wins. Play with him until he owes you 100 gp. Instead of paying you back, he will sign you oak longbow. Go back to the samurai to get the translation manual.
Talk to the innkeeper(at the inn) and he ask him for a job. He will give you a bedsheet. Go out of the town, back to the place where Necrovanus is, get to the slime, and use the bedsheet with the slime.
Go back into the city, and wear the slime-covered bedsheet. Talk to Gravingas and help him out. Talk to the ghost citizens, and they will either sign you petition or not. Don't pay the ecto-tokens for a signature. By the way, you can get the same guy's signature like 5 times, but as long as you have gotten a different one before that.
Once you have completed the petition, go back to Gravingas, and he will ask you to show it to Necrovanus. Necrovanus will get outraged and drop a key. Take the key and go upstairs to the bone-crusher. Keep on going until you get to a door. Open the door with the bone-key you just got, and search the coffin for Necrovanus's robes.
With the translation manual, book, and the robes, talk to the Old crone, and she will enchant your ghost amulet. DON'T WEAR YOUR AMULET YET!
Read this step through before doing it: Go back to Necrovanus, you will only have one chance with the amulet, so kill anything that's attacking you and talk to him. Talk and talk, and when you have to select an option, select the top one. Keep on clicking "click to continue" as fast as possible. Once you're done the conversation, go back to Velorina(you can get through the gate for free) and she will tell you that she has been set free.
