Giant Dwarf, The
Starting Point: The Keldadrim mines east of Rellekka and north of the mountain camp. Follow the dwarven statues to the underground river.
Description: Five hundred years have passed since the rule of King Alvis, saviour of Keldadrim, victim of his own inventions. He founded the Consortium: the gathering of mining companies that were to serve the monarchy. But eventually the monarchy came to serve the Consortium. By the time of his death, the monarchy was all but abolished. Now the Kings in Keldadrim are but a distant memory... with only the statue of King Alvis to remind the people of the old days. The dark days. So begins the Rise of the Red Axe, the new multipart storyline centered around the dwarves and their capital of Keldadrim. The first quest, The Giant Dwarf, introduces the city and the powerful business Consortium that rules the dwarven realm. Discover weird going-ons, narrowly escape from falling chunks of rock, ride around in minecarts and... make sure you don't bump into the wrong person on the way to the city!
Requirements:Lvl 20 Smithing and mining HIGHLY RECOMMENDED 33 magic 16 Firemaking 14 thieving 12 crafting and an affinity for diplomacy
Difficulty: Easy/Medium
Items Needed: Iron bar, tinderbox, 3 Sapphires a ton of ore, one piece of coal, logs(any kind), coins (at least 10k) and a redberry pie
Reward:
- Start the quest by speaking to the boatman just inside the caves. He will bring you to the dwarf city where you will knock down a very large (and ugly) statue
- Now you are arrested. Speak to the commander then leave the building. From here go across the river and speak to the sculptor. He will tell you that he needs clothing an axe and boots to make the sculpture.
- To get the clothes go to the bank and head east into the marketplace-style area and talk to the clothing seller. Ask about the special clothing and she will say to talk to her sister on the other side of the river. Now go across the bridge to talk to her sister. The silk symbol on your minimap.
- She will say she needs diagrams for the clothing. Cross the bridge and go into the building. Talk to the librarian and he will say that he has a book about odd costumes on one of the top shelves. Go to the north-west corner and make sure you weigh less than 20kg. Now climb the ladder to get the book.
- Go back to the clothing maker and she will say her spinning wheel needs to be started. Use the logs and coal on the machine then use a tinderbox on it talk to her again to get the clothes for 300 coins.
- Now go to the weapon shop across from the bank and ask about a special axe. He will give you a damaged axe. Us the sapphires on that. Now teleport to Fallador and head south to the Imcando dwarf at the tip of the peninsula. Now give him the pie and he will fix the sword.
- Return ti the city (there is an auto teleport once the axe is fixed.
- Now go as south west as possible to a shield shop. Talk to the guy and he will tell you of 2 different sets of boot and where they are. Now head north of the bank to a house. Go inside ad talk to the man. When he isn't looking take the boots next to the door. Then go outside and position yourself next to the window and cast telekinetic grab on the boots. Keep trying even if he catches you.
- Now go and give all of the items to the sculptors assistant. The sculptor will say that he needs a head model for the statue. Go to the marketplace and go upstairs here you can talk to one person in a company (secretary) BUT YOU CAN'T JOIN RED AXE. Now keep running errands until the secretary calls you by name.
- Now talk to the director and run 5 errands for him. Now ask him for a position at the company. He will allow you. Now mention the sculptor. He will tell you about an argument over who is the head (that sounded nasty)
- Say yes then talk to the commander he will bring you to a meeting and the final cutscene will commense (takes about 5 mins)
- You are now out of the meeting and...
