Golem, The
Starting Point:
Description: Deep in the desert stand the ruins of the once-great city of Uzer, where a lone survivor, an ancient clay golem, forever paces to and fro. It is badly damaged, and its mind cannot rest until it has completed the task for which it was created.
Requirements:Level 20 Crafting and Level 25 Thieving
Difficulty:Easy
Items Needed:Desert robes, water skins, 4 soft clay, pestle and mortar, a vial and a piece of papyrus. Hammer and chisel are recommended.
Reward:1 QP 1k crafting exp, 1k thieving experience and if you brought the hammer and chisel 2 rubies 2 emeralds and 2 sapphires
Leave the Shantay pass and head east to the river then south to the bridge and follow the path to you find a clay golem
Talk to him and he will say that he needs to be repaired. Use your clay on him then talk to him again.
Search the crates to the west of the Golem to find a letter. Go to the dig site.
Go into the dungeon next to the golem and examine the empty alcove. While you are here pick a black mushroom and use your pestle and mortar on it.
Go to the dig site and talk to Elissa. She says that there are some notes on that expedition in the dig site library. Go to the exam center and search the bookcases to find Varmens notes.
Talk to the curator in the Varrok museum about the statuettes. He will say no to you taking them. Pickpocket him for the key.
Go upstairs and use the key on the cabinet to get some statuettes and head back to Uzer.
Now instead of after crossing the bridge going straight go north. Kill the phoenix around there and take his feather then head back to Uzer. No go down into the dungeon again and use the statuettes on the alcoves. Now make sure the ones near the west wall face east and vice versa.
If you have the pattern of the statues correct the door will open and you can go through the huge portal and examine the skeleton inside.
If you brought the chisel and the hammer use it on the throne at the end of the room
Now go back into the statue room and pick up the strange instrument on the floor. Talk to the golem and tell him the good news and he won't believe you.
Now use the phoenix feather with the ink and then use the pen with your papyrus.
Use the object that you picked up in the dungeon on the golem then use the papyrus on him and...
