Mournings Ends Part I

Starting Point: Talk to Eluned(look at the roving elves guide)

Description: It seems at last Arianwyn has need of your skills. He believes there is more to the Mourners than meets the eye and he wishes for you to find out just what they're up to. Can you gain the trust of the Mourners?

Requirements:Level 60 Ranged, 50 thieving, and completed Roving Elves, Sheep Herder, and Big Chompy Bird Hunting.

Difficulty: Hard, but not hard if you've done all the other quests ;)

Items Needed: Bear fur, bucket of water, two pieces of silk, feather, toad crunchies, red, yellow, green, and blue dye, 1 magic log, some coal depending on your distilling skills, 1 soft leather, and some good food and armour. Teleports to Ardougne, and anti-poisons are recommended

Reward: 25k thieving exp, 25k Hitpoints exp, 2 QP.

  1. (Collect all items in Items needed. If you don't know how to get it, its probably explained in the guide somewhere).Go west of Ardougne, and then go south through the big gate(very far west). Take the path that doesn't head to red spiders, run past the dire wolves, and then you're in Isfadar. Follow the map below, until you get to Eluned(Watch out for leaf traps, and watch out for wire traps, both you can click to pass. The path to Islwyn is also the path to Eluned, wait for a few mins, and they will come if they're not there already).

  2. Once you talk to Eluned, she will give you a crystal and you will be teleported to Lletya. You will also have a crystal in your inventory. Talk to Arianwyn, who is near. She will tell you that the mourners are really elves, and you have to infiltrate them to find out of their plans. Now, head back to Ardougne(by teleporting, if you can't then just head straight to the gate), and then the Big Gate which is the entrance to Isfadar. Kill a mourner, but Beware! He might throw a potion at you, which will bring you to at least 20 HP! Kill him quickly(I 1 hit him lol) and then take Everything except his bones that he drops.

  3. Now, wear everything except the bloody top, and the trousers. Head over to Taverly.

  4. Once you're in Taverly, go to the person washing clothes, and then search his basket. Take the piece of soap, and make sure you have a bucket of water in your inventory. Use it on your bloody top. Wear it, since it's clean, then activate your crystal.

  5. Now, once you're here, talk to the clothes person, but make sure you have your silk and bear fur with you. Ask her to mend your trousers. She will try, and after a minute, she'll be done. Since you're done that, if you don't have all the don't have all the dyes, then trade her, and buy the green, yellow, red, and blue dyes.

  6. Once you're done that then teleport back to Ardougne, and wear all your mourner stuff, nothing else, keep the magic logs, and the soft leather with you, also bring a gnome crunchie(if you don't have one, go to the gnome stronghold, and buy one from the waiter on the second floor), and a feather. Go into the Mourner HQ, in West Ardougne (the northeastern building). Open the door, and go to the stairs, but go down the trapdoor. Go down, and walk until you see a room with the Head Mourner. Talk with him, and he'll give you a broken device and a key. Use the key with the door of the next room, and then talk to the Gnome. Try to get what he hates out of him, then tell him exactly what he hates. After that, if you have both with you, use the feather or the gnome crunchie with him.

  7. He will concede to you, and then talk to him again, then release him. Give him the magic logs and the soft leather, and then wait for a bit, talk to him again. He'll give you fixed device(AKA. bazooka or paintball gun).

  8. Now, go back to the bank, and bring bellows with you, and the dyes. Don't worry if you don't have them. Head to Yanille, then head to Chompy. If you didn't bring bellows, go through the cave, and open the chest inside, to find them. Now, use the bellows with any of the dyes, then use the bellows with a frog(just west if you're near Chompy). Do this for each of the dyes, and then you'll have four froggys :). Now, go back to Ardougne.
Blue Toad Yellow Toad Red Toad Green Toad

  9. Once in Ardougne, use a colored toad with the fixed device. Right click the device, then click wield. Head to each diseased sheep, look at their general color(or right click them and then click examine) and then load the corresponding toad into the bazooka. Now, go to attack styles, and click "Aim and Fire". A new screen will pop up. Move the arrows around, until a sheep is straight in view, and doesn't look like he's gonna move. Click the button in the middle of the arrows, and the paint ball shooter will fire the frog at the sheep. Do this for all four diseased sheep.

  10. Head to the Head Mourner again, and he'll tell you to poison everything, so on your way out, pick up a rotten apple to the west. Talk to Elena, who is just east, about this, and she ask you for an apple to do tests on, and then after awhile, talk to her again, and then she'll tell you how to make the poison(and will give you a sieve, keep it). Basically, you will have to get tar from Isfadar, then distill it into Naphtha, and use it with crushed rotten apples.

  11. Now, go to the gnome stronghold, but don't go in. Head to the little field just below, and then open the gate which is to the south. Go in and then take 3 buckets. Use one bucket with the rotten apples, then use that bucket with the crushing machine(your guy will do something silly). You now have crushed apples!(take one rotten apple for later on use in the quest). With the two buckets, head south until you get to the gate, and head back down to the place where you got tar in Regicide. Once you've done that, then use your bucket on the tar, and fill two buckets just incase. Teleport to Fallador now(or Ardougne then Fallador).

  12. Once you've teleported to Fallador, go and head south until you get to Rimmington(Bring as much coal as you can carry, and the tar with you).

  13. Go to the chemist's house, and use your tar with the distillator. Incase you've forgotten, this is how you distil:

    • First, use your tar with the distillator
    • Next, click on the distillator to operate it, then make the right valve go up to full.
    • Next, add some coal, and you'll see that the pressure will go up, as well as heat. If the heat doesn't go up to green, then keep on adding coal.
    • If the pressure gets to high, turn the pressure valve up, if the pressure gets to low, turn the right valve up, if the heat gets to low, add in some more coal, and if the heat gets to high, let out some pressure by turning the right valve down.
    • Wait until the green bar gets to full, (if you don't see it, then you haven't started yet). Once it's at full then close the window, and you'll have naphtha. Use your mashed apples with then naphtha, to get a naphtha apple mix.

  14. Now, once that is done, use the sieve(as it's called, you got it from Elena, remember?) with the naphtha apple mix, then head to a RANGE and not a open fire(as an open fire will now deal you 50...) and use the apple mix with it. You should get two little dust like things.

  15. Almost done now, just head over to West Ardougne, and go into the big building, then go into the west room, and use your powder on the grain sacks, then go to the south-western most point, and you will come to a general store, so use your powder on the grain bags there. Now, go back to the Head Mourner, and...
