Tail of Two Cats, A
Starting Point: Unferth, in his house in Burthorpe. Burthorpe is north of the Heroes' Guild.
Description: Missing: small black cat, answers to the name of Bob. Last seen on 19th Bennath. Please contact Unferth in Burthorpe.
Requirements:Must have completed Ichliarins Little Helper, Gertrudes cat and must have a kitten.
Difficulty:Easy (this is an understatment of how easy it is)
Items Needed:Kitten or a Cat or a Overgrown cat, Catspeak amulet, 5 death runes, Chocolate cake, Rake, Seed dibber, 4 Potato seeds, Shears, Logs, Tinderbox, Bucket of milk, Desert top and bottom, Vial of water, and 3k.
Reward:2 Quest points and a present (gives a mouse toy and two antique lamps giving 2.5k xp each to any skill).
After talking to Unferth, Bob's human counterpart, your cat will tell you to find Bob (Be sure to wear your catspeak amulet, as your cat tells you this).
Head north to the second house up and speak to the person inside. She will enchant your amulet for 5 death runes, so let her do this. Now you have your very own "Bob Locater" (Which will continue to work after the quest is over!).
Now take your catspeak amulet and look at it. Now click the whiskers until the cats eyes light up. At this point memorize the direction (North, North-East, East, South East, South, South-West, West, North-West).
Follow this until you find Bob. Put your amulet on and talk to him. You your cat and Bob will talk for a while, until you find out that Bob is lovesick and wants to impress another cat.
Go to gertrude and talk to her about Bobs parents; Gurtrude may be found just west of Varrock, in a little house beside the path. She will tell you about Robert the Strong.
Go to Reldo the librarian (he will be in the library in Varrock Castle) and ask him about Robert. He will fill you in further.
Go to the Sphinx in Sophanem, who is located in the desert, all the way to the south. Taking the magic carpet is a good idea, as is taking desert gear, including water canteens. Here you will have the chance to watch a cutscene. The Scene is just over 5 minutes but is quite worthwile to watch. You will see Bob united with his love. Now to to do the chores for Bob's Human.
Here is how to do them.
- Tidy House -- Clean around the bed.
- Warm Human -- Use logs and tinderbox ont he fireplace
- Feed Human -- Use chocolate cake and milk on the table
- Tidy Human -- Use shears on Unferth
- Tend Garden -- Weed the garden and plant potatos in it.
Now just wait until the potatos grow and then talk to Unferth. He will say that he is sick. Your cat suggests that you should go to someone with medical experiance.
Head to the Apothicary in Varrock and he will say that Unferth is not sick. Get either a doctor or nurses hat. (You can be either a doctor or a nurse, it is non-gender dependant.)
Go to Unferth with your desert robes and hat on he will take the water and will start feeling better.
Find bob and talk to him for a funny cutscene. Then go back to Unferth and get a gift box.
