Woodcutting
Woodcutting, in runescape, overall is the skill used to chop down trees to get wood. Usually woodcutting is used with firemaking and fletching. Woodcutting can be a good money-making skill once become a high leveled woodcutter.

Here are all the trees, and experience per.

| Maple | 45 | 100 exp | Even though these tree's aren't F2P, they aren't located in the F2P world. Search for them north of the Seer's bank and just south of Relleka. |
| Yew | 60 | 175 exp | The best place for these is probably just south of edgeville(right beside the dungeon entrance. |
| Magic | 75 | 250 exp | There are 3 trees just east of the ranging guild, some near the Sorcerer's Tower, and one right beside a bank in the Gnome Stronghold. |
The Hatchets
There are 7 different types of hatchets:

The better the hatchet you have, the better your chance of getting the log you are cutting. If two people cut the same log at the exact same time, they both get it.
To cut down a tree, just click on it. Random events might happen, so If you get message saying you don't have a hatchet, and you do, you're probably missing your hatchet's head. Other random events such as a tree spirit appearing, or a ent appearing, might kill you or break your axe. If your axe ever breaks, you can walk or teleport to lumbridge and talk the the owner of the axe shop to get a new one.
How to level up
Levels 1 - 25: Normal Trees.
Levels 26 - 45: Oak trees.
Levels 46 - 75: Willow trees.
Level 75+: Willow trees, and if you want to make money, yew, or maple trees.
